Wonderful book and an absolute must read. This book bears quite some resemblance to "Five People You Meet in Heaven". Some other readers have even compared it to "Tuesdays with Morrie", but I haven't read it yet. There is so much of compassion...and I wonder if any reader can avoid tears while reading this book...
This book deals with a child - Charles, who grew up mostly with his mother. One weekend, he sneaks out to meet his father, and unfortunately his mother dies that day...Charles, regrets that one day so much so, that he ends up in severe depression, and turns into an alcoholic...and develops suicidal tendencies...
One day, as he decides to end his life, he meets his dead mother somewhere in the intermediary world...he is transported back to the day his mom died, and he gets to spend his entire day with his mother. He realizes how much his mother loved him, and tries to understand her life...and this makes him realise that he needs to improve his own life...Will Charles be able to return to his original world? Read the book to find out...
A fundoo book that really emphasizes relationships...and how no relationship should really be taken for granted because you never know when will you miss a loved one forever...How many of you want that one chance? I want to go back to 11 Dec 1992...
